Fungal Nail Treatments

Fungal skin and nail infections are highly contagious and often difficult to get rid of. Before any treatment commences its important to obtain a correct diagnosis as trauma and medical conditions such as psoriasis often look similar in their presentation making treatment with antifungal topical preparations ineffective.

During your assessment a sample of nail will be collected for analysis to confirm whether or not your nail has a fungal infection. Nails will be cut and reduced in thickness to limit micro trauma from footwear as a result of thickened nails. Once diagnostic confirmation is gained the appropriate treatment options will be discussed with you to enable you to make an informed decision regarding the most suitable treatment package for you.
